WHAT IS NOT AFFECTED  

>45,000 DNA and Cell Culture samples for neurological disorders research!

The NINDS Human Genetics DNA and Cell Line Repository samples at the Coriell Institute are not affected during this transition and will remain fully available to all researchers!

 

Who is affected?

- Submitters and users of the NINDS Repository Biomarkers Discovery collection.

- Submitters and users of the NINDS Repository Fibroblasts and iPSCs collection.

 

What will change and when will changes begin?

For Biomarkers Discovery collection biospecimens submitted to Coriell:

- Coriell will stop accepting requests for collection-kits on October 23, 2015.

- Coriell will stop accepting biospecimen submissions on November 30, 2015.


For users ordering biospecimens from the Biomarkers Discovery collection at Coriell:

- Coriell will stop accepting new requests for biospecimens from the Biomarkers Discovery collection on October 30, 2015.

For users ordering biospecimens from the  Fibroblasts and iPSCs collection at Coriell:

- Coriell will stop accepting new requests for Fibroblasts and iPSCs on November 30, 2015.


When will biospecimen submissions and sample ordering reassume?

- NINDS will provide guidance to current biospecimen submitters and to investigators interested in sample ordering through direct e-mail communication and/or updates on this page as it becomes available.
