DNA and RNA

To produce unassailable scientific research, scientists require the highest quality biospecimens, including cell lines, DNA and RNA. Coriell provides the highest quality biomaterials available through our Molecular Biology Laboratory, a state-of-the-art facility utilizing robotics and liquid handling instruments for high throughput extraction and unparalleled QC analysis.

Our lab routinely extracts DNA from blood, saliva and lymphoblastoid cells and has the capacity to extract DNA from cells, blood and saliva in a high-throughput manner. DNA undergoes rigorous quality assessment via Qubit fluorometry, spectrophotometry and gel electrophoresis using DIN assay on an Agilent TapeStation 4200.

Microsatellite analysis using the ABI 3730 Capillary Sequencer is routinely performed on all extractions to verify sample origin. Coriell uses two TECAN Freedom EVO® liquid handling robots for the preparation of both custom-designed and catalog 96-well plates. Coriell currently manages hundreds of thousands of units of DNA from both apparently healthy and diseased individuals.

DNA DNA is isolated from blood, saliva, and a variety of cell types. It undergoes rigorous quality control assessment including authentication. DNA is stored frozen at -80C and shipped overnight at room temperature.	RNA RNA is isolated on demand from blood, saliva, and a variety of cell types. It undergoes rigorous quality control assessment. RNA is stored frozen at -80C and shipped overnight on dry ice.	Plates and Panels A wide variety of prepared plates and panels are available. They are created utilizing catalog-available lines and are stored at -80C. Plates are shipped overnight on dry ice. Panels are shipped overnight at room temperature.

Custom Aliquoting/Plating Custom aliquoting and plating services for many catalog-available lines is available with customized concentrations and formats.	High Molecular Weight DNA High molecular weight DNA is isolated from sub-collection of catalog-available cell lines. Rigorous quality control assessment is performed and samples are shipped out immediately after processing on ice packs.
