Verifications of Employment

The Coriell Institute for Medical Research handles all requests for employment history through our Human Resources department. To ensure the security and privacy of our current and former staff, we strictly adhere to the following disclosure and submission policies.

Information Provided 

Coriell Institute only provides the following information to third party agencies:

  • Dates of employment (Start/End Date)
  • Last job title held at the time of termination

Wage & Reason for Termination Verifications

If you are a current or former Coriell employee and need Coriell Human Resources to verify your last wage and/or the reason for your exit, you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Direct Outreach Required: You must reach out directly to HR@coriell.org to provide explicit written consent. Coriell HR will provide you with an authorization form we will need you to sign. 
  2. Authorization Timing: This consent must be provided prior to the third party contacting us.
  3. Verification: Coriell will only release additional information once your identity and authorization have been internally verified. There will be no exceptions to this policy. 

Third Party Authorization Guidelines

No Third-Party Forms: We do not accept or recognize authorization/consent forms sent to us directly from third-party companies or automated verification services. There are no exceptions. 

  • Submission Method: All requests must be sent via email toHR@coriell.org, Coriell Human Resources does not conduct verbal verifications.
  • Turnaround Time: Coriell Human Resources cannot promise that verifications will be responded to sooner than 3-5 business days. 

Internships/Unpaid Positions

Due to the nature of these roles, Coriell Human Resources is unable to confirm or verify Unpaid Internships and/or positions. 

Former Interns and Volunteers are strongly encouraged to reach out to their last-known contact at Coriell to coordinate a referral.
