Remarks |
Chinese hamster lung cell line XR-V15B was derived by ethylnitrosourea-induced mutagenesis of V79B fibroblasts (GM16143). XR-V15B is hypersensitive to x-irradiation and belongs to complementation group 5 of x-ray sensitive rodent cell mutants. XR-V15B is mutated in the Ku80 subunit of the Ku autoantigen and is defective in non-homologous (illegitimate) DNA double strand break repair and in V(D)J recombination. |
