The fat tissue was removed from the subject's upper arms and neck ante-mortem during elective cosmetic tumescent liposuction on 6/21/02. This primary culture was initiated on 6/21/02 by collagenase digestion of fat tissue. This culture tested negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor, negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin and positive for Cy3/Vimentin (immunofluorescence assays). 70.5% (at passage 3) and 1% (at passage 9) of the cells observed showed adipogenic differentiation. Another adipose stromal cell line from this same donor is AG17928. THIS SAMPLE WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED FROZEN. |
