Remarks |
The fat tissue was removed from the subject's buttocks ante-mortem during elective cosmetic tumescent liposuction on 11/13/03. This primary culture was initiated on11/13/03 by collagenase digestion of fat tissue. This culture tested negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor, negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin and positive for Cy3/Vimentin (immunofluorescence assays). 74.3% (at passage 2) and 31% (at passage 8) of the cells observed showed adipogenic differentiation. THIS SAMPLE WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED FROZEN. |
