Remarks |
The fat tissue was removed from the subject's outer thighs ("saddle bags") ante-mortem during elective cosmetic tumescent liposuction on 2/20/02. This primary culture was initiated on 2/20/02 by collagenase digestion of fat tissue. This culture tested negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor, negative for alpha-smooth muscle actin and positive for Cy3/Vimentin (immunofluorescence assays). 41.6% of the cells observed at passage 5 showed adipogenic differentiation. THIS SAMPLE WILL ONLY BE SHIPPED FROZEN. |
