Remarks |
The donor had a history of progressive presenile dementia. His father had a five year progressive dementing illness ending in death at age 66. The skin biopsy was taken ante-mortem from the upper left arm. Culture was initiated on 1/20/83 using explants of minced skin. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like. The culture is a mosaic with karyotype: 46,XY/47,XY,+20; 90%/10% with 18% of the cells examined showing random chromosome loss/gain and 2% showing random chromosomal aberrations. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
