| Remarks |
The donor had a history of moderate dementia, impaired memory, visuospacial disorientation, dyscalculia, a diffuse EEG and cortical atrophy on CAT scan. Negative family history for Alzheimer's disease. Onset of the disease was at age 59 and was confirmed at autopsy. The culture was initiated on 5/19/83 by transformation of lymphocytes with Epstein Barr virus. The cells grow in suspension and their morphology is spherical. The karyotype is 46,XX with 2% of the cells examined showing random chromosomal rearrangements. A skin fibroblast culture from same donor is AG06869. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
