Remarks |
Beagle breed. The thoracic aorta was removed post-mortem on 10/28/85. Strips of the intimal and medial layers of the vessel were removed, minced, and used as explants to initiate the culture. Cell morphology is fibroblast-like. The cell culture tested positive for alpha-smooth muscle actin, negative for the endothelial cell-specific von Willebrand factor, (immunofluorescence assays), and negative with Dil-Acylated-LDL assay. Other cultures from this dog are AG08478 and AG08479. |
