Remarks |
Healthy octogenarian from Carloforte, a city on San Pietro, an island off the southwest coast of Sardinia, and from a population very largely originating in Genoa in the 18th century. This individual was not related to the other members of the Carloforte collection for two generations and lived to be 86 years of age.The culture was initiated on 9/30/97 by transformation of lymphocytes with Epstein Barr virus. The culture grows in suspension and the cell morphology is spherical. The culture is a mosaic with karyotype: 46,XY[92]/47,XY,+12[8] with 2% of the cells examined showing random chromosome loss. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
