Remarks |
Line WI-38 VA13, subline 2RA is a post-crisis SV40 virus-transformed derivative of WI-38, and was derived 3/64 by infecting WI-38 cells at passage 23 with SV40 virus. Loss of contact inhibition occurred 48 days post-infection and crisis occurred 20 weeks post-infection. T-antigen positive cells are present and the karyotype is hyperdiploid. G6PD isoenzyme is type B. The culture was frozen at passage 257. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
