Remarks |
Chinese hamster inbred strain. The biopsy was obtained by mincing a whole 8cm embryo. Cell morphology is fibroblast-like and the cells grow to form confluent sheets. The karyotype is 22,XX[30]/23,XX,+6[20] with 4% of the cells examined showing random chromosome loss/gain. A spontaneously transformed male fibroblast cell line, GM00458, is available from the NIGMS Human Genetic Cell Repository.
