Remarks |
Clinically affected with Duchenne muscular dystrophy; diagnosed at age 9; calf hypertrophy; progressive weakness; first walked at 18 months; wheelchair bound sometime between age 9 and 14; by age 9 there was difficulty rising to a standing position, proximal muscle weakness at shoulder and pelvic girdle, markedly depressed deep tendon reflexes in the knees and upper extremities but reflexes in the ankles were present, pseudohypertrophy of the tongue; by age 14 there was ability to lift arms above the head, moderate contractures of the lower extremities, feet markedly inverted; affected brother is GM05127; elevated CPK. |
