PCR analysis of DNA from this somatic cell hybrid gave negative results with primers for 9pter-p22, D9S178, and 9p24, WI-7297, and gave positive results with primers for 9p21, D9S270, 9p22, IFNA, 9q22.3q31, ALDOB, 9q34.3, DBH, and 9q34-qter, D9S158
 
GENE MAPPING & DOSAGE STUDIES - CHROMOSOME 17 DNA from this somatic cell hybrid gave a negative result in Southern blot hybridization analysis with a probe for 17p13.1, MYH2, and gave a positive result with a probe for 17q21.3q23, MPO. PCR analysis of DNA from this somatic cell hybrid gave a positive result with a primer for 17q25-qter, D17S784.
