DNA from this somatic cell hybrid gave a negative result in Southern blot hybridization analysis with a probe for 18q23, MBP, and gave a positive result with a probe for 18q12.3, D18S6. PCR analysis of DNA from this somatic cell hybrid gave positive results with primers for 18p11.31-p11.22, TYMS, 18q12.1, TTR, 18p11.1q11.2, D18S44, and a different primer for the same locus, and gave a negative result with a primer for 18q23-qter, D18S844. |
