Remarks |
The donor showed severe dementia, progressive memory loss, word finding difficulty, dyscalculia and mild to moderate cerebral atrophy on CAT scan. There is no family history of Alzheimer's disease. The culture was initiated on 11/24/82 by transformation of lymphocytes with Epstein Barr virus. The cells grow in suspension, and their morphology is spherical. The karyotype is 46,XY with 4% of the cells examined showing random chromosome loss, 4% showing random chromosomal aberrations (telomeric fusion), and 22% showing chromatid breakage. A skin fibroblast culture from this same donor is AG06205C. The legacy karyotype description shown in this Remark may not be representative of the current available product. |
