Calvin H. Knowlton, BSPharm, MDiv, PhD, a member of the Coriell Board of Trustees, has been selected as the recipient of a prestigious regional award.
Dr. Knowlton was recognized by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of Ernst & Young, one of the largest professional service and accounting firms in the world, for his acute business acumen and leadership qualities. Receiving the Entrepreneur of the Year award places Dr. Knowlton in the company of some of the most prolific and accomplished industry leaders from throughout the Delaware Valley.
Also serving in the Coriell Personalized Medicine Collaborative's (CPMC) Pharmacogenomics Advisory Group (PAG), Dr. Knowlton applies his expertise as founder and CEO of CareKinesis – a national pharmacy structured to support the medication needs of elderly individuals with complex medical conditions – to help review and determine if drug/gene pairings are actionable and eligible to be returned to Coriell's research study participants.

In addition, Dr. Knowlton has also served as the national president of the American Pharmaceutical Association, the American College of Apothecaries, and the American Pharmacists Association Foundation. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
This marks the second time Dr. Knowlton has won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award; he also received the honor in 2003. The Ernst & Young award was presented at a ceremony Thursday, June 20 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
